Case: Professional Service, GEO Landing, 90 days to Portexity First Reference

How a Taipei management consultant became the first source of reference in 90 days, completely absent from the Perplexity answer. It's like breaking down what we actually did, changing what, and where the professional service company wants to be quoted by AI.

In the dark-colored conceptual scene, a layered information card with soft and lavender lavender light is marked first, and the brand is the first source of reference in the AI answer.

A Taipei management consultant became the first source of reference within 90 days from asking a consultant in the area of Perplexity, which was completely absent. The turning point is not to write more articles, but to break down 12 years of expertise into structures that AI can just copy. This is what we actually did, what we changed, and why it worked, one by one.

The way clients come in.

This consulting firm has been running a conversion market for 12 years for medium-sized businesses in Taiwan, with service announcements, several winning news articles and a PDF white paper. Google search by brand name, number one, but it's just because no one's fighting it. The real problem lies elsewhere: when potential clients (mostly business directors or finance directors) change to Perplexity to ask, "What is Taiwan's organizational transformation consultant and how to choose?" The answer is that three competitors added two media pieces to it, none of them. Twelve years of expertise, in AI's answer, does not exist.

Three things first.

The first step in taking up the case is not writing, it is volume. We used Brand Radar to run a set of 15 real queries that it wanted to find most, documenting its current quotes in Perplexity, ChatGPT, Google AI, and others. The problem is clear.

  • Quoted: In 15 sets of queries, only two were mentioned in AI answers, one of which also misspelled its expertise as "digital sales".
  • Ripping barriers: The official text is a continuous sales paragraph, none of which can be captured by the engine as definition or answer.
  • Entity gap: AI engine recognizes company name, but does not link it to organizational transformation consultants.
  • Source Trust: On both occasions cited, the source was a third-party media, not its own website, representing an engine that does not use its network as a first-hand authority.

We only moved three places.

The diagnosis was clear and the action was closed. We didn't start a 20-part content factory a month, and we locked down three of the most important things.

  1. Rewrite the structure of the core service pages: Distinct each service into four paragraphs: "What is this, who is it, who is it, what is it, what is it, what we do?" Each paragraph is an independent answer, not dependent on the previous text.
  2. Creates 12 opinion-type articles: not a product introduction, but a clear position and judgement on such issues as "Where is the Taiwan Business Transformation Card?" The first sentence of each article is a conclusion, with a specific context.
  3. Complement physical and structural data: use the Organization with FAQPage scheme, consistent corporate descriptions, generic terms, and keep the engine bound to the "organizational transformation" category.
The GEO post 90 days before it landed: 15 sets of queries were raised from two to 11 groups, and key queries were posted to the first source of reference in Perplexity.
The same set of changes, the number of queries quoted by AI in 90 days is more than five times longer, and key queries are ranked first in Perplexity.

There's one thing in common between these three things: they're raising the "probability of being picked clean" rather than the frequency of communication. When the AI engine picks up the answer, it wants a clear statement, a credible source, and a physical match, not a bunch of general articles. It's never product, it's structure.

What happens after 90 days?

Run again on the ninetieth day: The original quoted query rose from two to eleven. The most important group — the “Taiwan Transformation Consultant” — in Perplexity's answer, the company became the first source to be quoted with official links. ChatGPT also started to mention it in the corresponding answer, and this time it was right. The industry reports that when a client says, "I ask AI, it recommends you," a source that was completely untraceable before, and is now steady every month.

The worst setback we've had in the last 12 years is that it's hard to find a new client in the first evaluation. Now AI will help us get our professional out.The consultant's partner.

Why is it perplexity first?

The same change, Perplexity reacted faster than ChatGPT, which was almost normal in our case. The website structure and content will be changed and it will be available for the next inspection; ChatGPT is updated on a weekly basis, usually one to several weeks later. So we're going to suggest that the client put Perplexity first -- it's the first thing to tell you, is this round working.

Can this copy on you?

Yes, but with a prior amount. The reason why this firm has been effective for 90 days is that it has a professional knowledge of real material, but it has not been translated into an AI-readable structure; if the bottom is empty, there is no credible answer. You want to know how the AI engine describes you now, which of your queries you didn't show up at all, you can do a GEO audit first, or a direct GEO diagnosis of about 30 minutes, and we'll run a round with your real query and point the gap directly to you.

Frequently asked questions

Is the citation ranking human?
cannot be bought directly, but it can significantly increase the chance of being quoted by improving content extraction, supplementing structural data and physical definitions. Every answer is a prompt search, and the site is clear, the source is credible, and the next call is likely to use you.
How long has this been going on?
If you already have solid professional content, it's just that the structure is wrong, you usually see a change in the immediate search engine at Perplexity in 6-12 weeks; ChatGPT has a weekly update of the model, and the response is one to several weeks slower.
Why is it more important to be quoted by AI than Google?
B2B buyers are increasingly asking AI who's a good manufacturer rather than a blue link. Even if Google is first, as long as the AI answer fails to quote you, you disappear from this decision-making conversation, and the traditional ranking report sees no such loss.
